Job summary

Cherry Bekaert's consulting team is assisting a large, diversified organization in identifying an experienced Interim Fractional CFO to provide executive financial leadership during a CFO transition. Reporting directly to the CEO, this consultant will provide continuity and oversight across a complex multi-entity enterprise that includes federal contracting and commercial operations.

Location is Anchorage, AK with travel available for qualified candidates outside Alaska in the Northwest USA.

Qualifications

• Prior CFO or senior finance executive experience in large, complex organizations.
• Background in multi-entity environments including federal contracting.
• Experience with audits, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• M&A, integration, and purchase accounting experience preferred.
• CPA preferred.

• Oversee year-end audit readiness and financial reporting activities

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic financial partner to the CEO and executive leadership team
• Oversee year-end audit readiness and financial reporting activities
• Support acquisition integration efforts and purchase accounting matters
• Lead executive review and completion of the annual budgeting process
• Ensure a smooth transition to the incoming permanent CFO

Qualifications

• Prior CFO, Divisional CFO, or senior finance executive experience
• Background in large, complex, multi-entity organizations
• Federal government contracting experience preferred
• Experience with audits, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• M&A, integration, and purchase accounting experience preferred
• CPA preferred
• Start: Immediate
• Duration: Approximately 60 days, with potential extension
• Location: Anchorage, AK but open to candidates willing to travel
• Travel: Available for qualified candidates outside Alaska in the Northwest USA
• Systems: Microsoft Dynamics and Deltek Costpoint
