Qualifications

• Significant senior leadership experience in nonprofit, healthcare, philanthropy, or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience working with boards, governing bodies, or senior executives.
• Experience overseeing budgets, financial resources, projects, grants, or initiatives.
• Experience leading through organizational transition, startup activity, or periods of change.
• Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, nonprofit management, finance, healthcare administration, or equivalent executive-level experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the foundation's senior executive and primary liaison to the Board; prepare reports, recommendations, materials, and decision-support information.
• Carry out Board-approved priorities and establish governance practices, policies, and infrastructure while distinguishing governance from administration.
• Build administrative processes, workflows, records, and internal controls; coordinate with legal, accounting, investment, tax, audit, technology, and other advisors.
• Implement the Board-approved grantmaking approach, including applications, due diligence, reviews, awards, monitoring, and reporting.
• Provide information on grant opportunities and maintain records supporting grant decisions and activities.
• Support responsible financial stewardship by helping administer budgets, monitor spending, and support reporting and audits.
• Assess interim staffing needs; coordinate employees, consultants, and service providers as authorized by the Board.
• Represent the foundation with nonprofit, healthcare, and civic partners and protect the foundation's reputation and charitable mission.
