Job summary

East Henderson High in Henderson County, North Carolina, seeks a Teacher-ESL K-12 (Interim) to lead ESL instruction for a temporary term from Aug 11, 2026 to Sep 25, 2026. The interim position pays $142 per day as a substitute until conversion to the teacher salary scale for the remainder.

Applicant must hold a current NC Teaching License with ESL K-12 certification; National Board Certification is preferred. The role reports to the Principal and requires exempt FLSA status.

Qualifications

• National Board Certification is a preferred qualification.

Responsibilities

• Plan a program of study that meets the needs, interests, and abilities of all students.
• Create a classroom environment that encourages student involvement and enables each student to achieve learning objectives.
• Plan for and utilize instructional methods, resources, and evaluation techniques that motivate and enable each student to achieve learning objectives.
• Monitors student performance and growth.
• Attend staff meetings and perform other duties as required by the Principal.
