Job summary

Scion Nonprofit Staffing is seeking an Early Childhood Education Assistant Director in Boston, MA. This temporary/interim leadership role supports licensing compliance, daily operations, and classroom leadership within an established ECE program, onsite.

The ideal candidate holds Massachusetts EEC Director I certification, brings strong communication and collaborative leadership, and can begin on-site promptly while completing required background checks.

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts EEC Director I Certification required; Director II Certification preferred.
• Experience in early childhood education and licensing compliance.
• Strong communication and collaborative leadership skills.
• Ability to begin onsite assignment promptly and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as interim leadership contact for EEC licensing and inspections.
• Provide direct classroom coverage while maintaining staff-to-child ratios.
• Coordinate daily program operations and staffing.
• Support opening/closing procedures to ensure smooth operations.
• Guide teaching staff on licensing requirements and program practices.
• Communicate licensing concerns to leadership.
