Job summary

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions, serving Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage, seeks an Interim Leader of Women’s and Children’s Services to oversee Labor & Deliver, Postpartum, Nursery and Pediatric Units. The role ensures 24-hour high‑quality patient care and adherence to hospital policies under nursing leadership.

The successful candidate will be a graduate of an approved school of nursing with RN licensure; BSN or healthcare-related degree preferred, plus certification in specialty area

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved or accredited school of nursing.
• Licensure in the state of placement required; Compact Licensure preferred.
• Certification in specialty area preferred; BSN or healthcare-related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs nursing and support staff across Labor & Deliver, Postpartum, Nursery and Pediatric Units.
• Ensures 24-hour continuity of care and adherence to hospital standards.
• Verifies staffing coverage and approves time off and leaves of absence.
• Develops, reviews and implements policies and procedures for assigned areas.
• Conducts regular rounds and staff meetings to ensure quality planning and care delivery.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
