PowerBack Rehabilitation seeks an Interim Director of Nursing to oversee nursing services in a long-term care center during leadership transitions, ensuring operational continuity and quality of care.

You must hold an RN license from an accredited school, with at least five years of clinical experience and two years in nursing supervision within long-term care. This on-site temporary assignment offers competitive compensation.

Responsibilities

• Direct, plan, and coordinate service activities of professional nursing and auxiliary nursing personnel in rendering patient care.

• Complete daily rounds on the units to observe patients and determine if nursing needs are being met.
• Review nursing progress notes to ensure that they are informative and descriptive of the nursing care provided and reflect the customer’s response to the plan of care.
• Interpret nursing center policies and regulations to all nursing personnel and ensure compliance, and analyze and evaluate nursing and related services to improve quality of customer care.
• Ensure the provision of in-service training programs for nursing personnel.

Responsibilities

The Interim Director of Nursing is responsible for administration of nursing services in an assigned nursing center on a temporary basis. The Interim Director of Nursing is managing transitional issues related to changes in nursing center leadership and working through logistics and challenges to ensure effective operations during the transitional period.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college or university with a current registered nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
• A minimum of five years full-time or equivalent clinical experience with at least two years' experience in nursing supervision in the long-term care setting is required.
