A leading financial consulting firm is looking for an experienced interim Controller to support the month-end close process onsite in Monterey, CA. The role requires strong accounting expertise and leadership skills to stabilize the close process, ensuring timely and accurate results. You will work closely with finance teams, manage tasks and timelines, and drive improvements in the accounting function. This is a full-time position offering up to $135/hour for about four months.

Qualifications

• Experience with month-end close processes.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with auditors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the month-end close process, including timelines and task management.
• Review key reconciliations and ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Provide oversight and support to the accounting team as needed.
