Addison Group seeks an Interim Controller in Wilmington, NC to oversee daily accounting operations, including AP, payroll, billing, and general ledger. The role requires GAAP expertise and strong supervisory skills to manage staff and support budgeting and financial reporting.

The position is a contract role (2+ months) with potential to extend, offering exposure to agency finances and coordination with senior leaders. Eligible for standard benefits through the contract arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting/finance or equivalent experience.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• Minimum 5 years of related accounting experience including supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure GAAP compliance and audit trail.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
• Oversee accounts payable, payroll, billing, and general ledger.
• Supervise staff; train, assign, and evaluate performance.
• Assist with annual budgets and variance analysis.
• Support internal audit processes and control management.
• Prepare supplemental financial reports as needed.
