Job summary

The schedule is Monday–Friday, onsite in Portland with potential for hybrid.
Qualifications
- Experience as Interim CFO, Controller or senior finance leader in mid-sized or larger orgs.
- Strong knowledge of close, AP/AR, approvals and financial review processes.
- Ability to quickly assess operations and provide actionable recommendations.
- Calm, collaborative leadership style with coaching skills.
Responsibilities
- Assess the accounting department’s structure, responsibilities, and workload.
- Review month-end close, AP/AR, approvals and financial reviews for efficiency.
- Observe close processes and align roles with business needs.
- Identify bottlenecks and propose practical improvements.
- Coach and support the Controller and finance team.
- Partner with the COO on targets and next steps.
- Evaluate longer-term staffing and organizational needs.
- Provide experienced finance leadership and objective perspective.
