Job summary

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Interim Chief Executive Officer for a well-established privately held manufacturing organization. This on-site leadership assignment is based in northeast Detroit and will run through March 2027.

The Interim CEO will provide strategic and operational leadership, guide the business through the transition, maintain customer relationships, and partner with employees, ownership, lenders, and the Board to achieve objectives.

Qualifications

• Executive leadership experience in manufacturing or related industries.
• Experience guiding organizations through significant change or transition.
• Strong financial, operational, and organizational leadership skills.
• Experience partnering with Boards, owners, investors, or lenders.
• Excellent communication and strategic decision‑making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership to ensure stable day‑to‑day operations while guiding the organization through a planned transition.
• Partner with employees, customers, ownership, lenders, and the Board to foster open communication and maintain strong relationships.
• Oversee operational execution, customer commitments, and organizational priorities through project completion.
• Support employee engagement and organizational morale by leading with transparency, empathy, and professionalism.
• Collaborate with leadership to manage financial, operational, and strategic priorities throughout the engagement.
• Promote a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and thoughtful decision‑making.
