Within the case management department, the Interim Director of Utilization Management will provide immediate leadership impact through a full-time day shift and a flexible interim assignment focused on department stabilization, staff mentoring and development, and utilization review oversight. This leader will guide utilization management and utilization review operations while advancing regulatory compliance leadership, care-transition improvement, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The Interim Director of Utilization Management will also have the opportunity to create a meaningful community impact by strengthening throughput, discharge planning, resource stewardship, payer coordination, and continuity of care.

The Interim Director of Care Coordination will report to senior hospital leadership and receive support from executive, nursing, medical, quality, finance, and ancillary-services partners. Key responsibilities include overseeing daily case management functions, coaching friendly nurses and case management professionals, monitoring utilization and length-of-stay trends, supporting denial prevention, strengthening documentation and discharge processes, and maintaining readiness for regulatory and accreditation reviews. The Interim Director of Care Coordination will collaborate with a diverse healthcare professional team that includes physicians, registered nurses, social workers, rehabilitation specialists, pharmacists, revenue-cycle colleagues, and community service partners.
