Job summary

The Bound Brook School District is seeking an experienced Athletic Director to oversee district interscholastic programs from December 2026 through June 2027, ensuring safe, high-quality opportunities for student-athletes.

Qualified candidates will hold NJ Supervisor or Standard Principal certificates and have prior AD experience, with strong leadership, communication, and collaborative abilities across administrators, coaches, families, and the community.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Athletic Director is required.
• Knowledge of NJSIAA regulations and student eligibility requirements.
• Ability to independently manage and supervise an interscholastic athletic program.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with administrators, coaches, students, families, and community members.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the district's interscholastic athletic programs.
• Coordinate athletic contests, practice schedules, transportation, officials, and facility usage.
• Ensure compliance with NJSIAA regulations, district policies, and applicable state requirements.
• Verify student-athlete eligibility, including academic requirements, medical clearances, and parental permissions.
• Maintain accurate athletic records, schedules, and required documentation.
• Supervise and evaluate athletic coaches and support personnel; attend athletic events and meetings.
