South Seattle College is looking to hire an Interim Associate Director of Facilities.
Salary Range for this position is $81,821 to 112,991 annually based on experience. Most Candidates will be offered a salary in the $85,000-$95,000 range.Application and required materials must be submitted no later than 9/25/2026 and first review of materials will begin at that time.
As the Associate Director of Facilities you are in a mission critical role. Prospective students factor the state of facilities into their enrollment decisions. When students are in an attractive, well maintained, and safe physical environment they respond, they thrive, and they go on to build successful lives and contribute to their community and our society.
In this role you will be responsible for the delivery of facility maintenance, grounds, custodial and mail services, compliance with health, life safety, and building codes and recommendations for facilities improvements for one of the Seattle Colleges campuses. As a department manager you will directly supervise, one electrician, 2 Grounds staff, 1 painter, 1 office supervisor, and will have oversee departmental decision-making authority or Campus Services Department. As a campus leader you will nurture a customer responsive culture and productive relationships with staff, other departments, and other parties. As a member of the facilities management team, you will work with the Vice President of Administrative Services and Capital Projects to make plans, develop policies, procedures, and standards, support each other¿s professional development and that of your respective teams. You will work independently with minimal supervision within the parameters of the facilities management system.
The position will work closely with day-to-day operations and Capital Projects staff, reports to the Vice President of Administrative Services.
This interim position will end on June 30th, 2027.
This position is required to be 100% in person.
