Job summary

Georgetown University seeks a Coordinator of Clinical Pastoral Education at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital to oversee Level I, II, and CEC programs, develop curriculum, supervise students, and ensure ACPE standards.

In collaboration with the Director of the Department of Mission and Pastoral Care, the coordinator provides professional education in ministry, supports chaplain residents, and contributes to Jesuit identity and SPIRIT values.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required; M.Div. preferred; ACPE Educator certification in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical chaplaincy training and CPE supervision.
• Ordination or commissioning for ministry by a recognized religious group; Ecclesiastical endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and administer CPE Level I, II and CEC programs sponsored by the department.
• Develop curriculum, supervise students’ clinical work, provide educational opportunities, evaluate students.
• Assist department with pastoral care ministry and liturgical/sacramental needs as required.
• Collaborate with Director of Mission and Pastoral Care and maintain ACPE standards.
