Job summary

Westminster Canterbury in Daytona Beach, FL seeks a Chaplain to provide compassionate spiritual care in a diverse, multi-faith community. The role emphasizes presence, listening, and respect for residents’ beliefs and traditions.

The Chaplain will lead chapel services, support residents, families, and staff, and collaborate with local faith communities to encourage inclusive spiritual opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in religious studies or equivalent.
• Ordination and current good standing within a mainline Protestant or other recognized denomination.
• Minimum of three (3) years of parish ministry or equivalent ministerial experience.
• Demonstrated experience working with older adults in ecumenical and/or interfaith ministry contexts.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to provide pastoral care across diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, non-proselytizing spiritual care through presence and listening.
• Visit residents in times of need including illness, hospitalization, and bereavement.
• Plan and lead weekly chapel gatherings and coordinate additional spiritual opportunities.
