The University of Miami Information Technology & Systems Department is seeking a Systems Engineer 2 to manage daily operations of critical systems including image workflow, archiving, and web services. The role emphasizes secure data exchange across databases and services, with leadership on interface issues and vendor collaborations.

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Documents interface requirements and ensures only necessary data is passed to downstream systems.
• Participates in on-call and leads issue resolution independently.
• Develops test scripts and assists validation of interfaces.
• Leads interface-related vendor meetings and assists in architecture of integration solutions.
• Ensures integration solutions are robust and can sustain high volume.
• Acts as a technical expert in areas of applications systems analysis and programming.
• Assists with planning, coordination, monitoring, and implementation of Epic suite applications.
• Tests and debugs new programs to verify accuracy and completeness.
• Develops, tests, implements, and maintains simple webpages and web services.
• Provides problem-solving expertise to troubleshoot production issues.
• Supports end-users including vendors and clinicians with clinical applications.
