Job summary

The Department of Latina/Latino Studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign seeks a postdoctoral research associate for the 2027-2028 academic year. This is a one-year appointment with a start date of August 16, 2027, renewable for a second year.

The fellow will be housed in the Department and pursue interdisciplinary Latina/Latino Studies research. The incumbent will conduct research, contribute to teaching, and participate in program activities, including teaching one course.

Qualifications

• PhD or terminal degree completed within the past five years or by Aug 15, 2027.
• External appointment; current UIUC faculty or Urbana campus students are ineligible.
• PhD from UIUC is not eligible for this appointment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in Latina/Latino Studies with potential broad impact.
• Teach one course in Latina/Latino Studies during the appointment.
