Summary

Position is located in the Lewis & Clark National Historic Park in Astoria, OR Serve as principal advisor in the management of cultural resources; performing a variety of professional cultural resource management tasks and is responsible for independently planning/carrying out professional/technical assignments, adapting guidelines for application to specific cultural resource management issues, analyzing the results and recommending changes to existing cultural resource procedures/methods.

Major Duties

Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Manages the cultural resource program, coordinating with partners, overseeing research requests, resource monitoring, and museum, archival, and library collections. Works closely with the park resources division manager to complete cultural resources compliance tasks. Develops effective cultural resources management planning documents and strategies. Manages the museum, archival, and library collections to NPS standards and guidelines, and coordinates documentation, preservation, protection, exhibition, and use of those collections.
