Job summary

The Harvard University Environmental Fellows Program offers recent PhDs a unique opportunity to address critical environmental issues by collaborating with Harvard faculty across disciplines. It is administered by Harvard University Center for the Environment (HUCE) and supports research bridging science, policy, humanities, and more.

The fellowship provides a two-year residency in Cambridge, MA, with access to Harvard's resources, a generous salary, relocation and travel allowances, and

Qualifications

• Terminal degree (PhD or equivalent) earned between May 2023 and August 2027.
• Candidates from any discipline; proposals should extend beyond prior PhD work.
• Harvard candidates must propose projects distinct from their current thesis research.
• Must secure a commitment from at least one Harvard faculty member to serve as mentor.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Harvard faculty across diverse disciplines to address environmental issues.
• Engage with HUCE resources to advance interdisciplinary research on environmental challenges.
• Participate in a two-year residency in Cambridge, MA with fieldwork during summer or January recess.
