Job summary

Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) in Patuxent River, MD seeks an INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER SCIENTIST (GENERAL ENGINEER/ COMPUTER SCIENTIST) to lead NGTS software support within the DAiTA Group of the IBST Department.

You will shape long-range investment roadmaps, ensure on-time, on-budget delivery, and coordinate with customers, users, leadership, PMs, software developers, testers and SMEs to advance warfighter training, testing, analysis and research and development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic planning, programmatic decisions, technical execution, and financial execution of a large software support activity for a government-owned, evolving synthetic environment generator, Next Generation Threat System (NGTS).
• Support warfighter platform training, testing, analysis, and research and development.
• Develop and maintain long range strategic investment roadmaps and plans.
• Ensure quality software is delivered on schedule and within budget to customers.
• Lead coordination with customers, users, department leadership, project management team, software developers, testers, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
