INTERDISCIPLINARY COMPUTER SCIENTIST / DATA SCIENTIST

You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY COMPUTER SCIENTIST / DATA SCIENTIST in the OFFICE OF TECHNICAL DIRECTOR of the COMNAVMETOCCOM.

Key Responsibilities

You will develop, implement, and enforce the functional area's data strategy, ensuring alignment with departmental and Federal data management policies.

Requirements & Education

Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess Series: COMPUTER SCIENCTIST, SERIES 1550 Basic Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science or bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science.

At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions. Series: DATA SCIENCTIST, SERIES 1560 Basic Requirements: Degree: Mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position.

The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position. or Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) as shown in paragraph A above, plus additional education or appropriate experience. TRANSCRIPTS ARE REQUIRED
