Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a full‑time UM‑Flint undergraduate student.
• Interest or experience in historical or archival research and oral history.
• Strong organizational and project‑management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, alumni, faculty and partners.
• Experience with interviews or qualitative data collection.
• Experience with social media, digital storytelling, photography, video, or podcasts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scheduling and coordinating oral history interviews with former SBA/BSU members and others connected to the Loving Lounge.
• Support interview prep, recording, transcription, organization and coding of materials.
• Conduct archival research and digitize historical materials for preservation.
• Help develop the Loving Lounge historical timeline and photographic exhibit.
• Assist with data collection/analysis on student engagement and program impact.
• Support communications, social media content, and digital storytelling initiatives.
