GridPilot AI (ALL18) seeks an experienced Interconnection Project Manager / Consultant to guide early-stage interconnection applications across U.S. ISO/RTO markets.

This role combines hands-on application management with expert oversight of AI-assisted workflows, coordinating with power engineers and clients to ensure timely, compliant filings. The successful candidate will review AI-generated materials, interpret requirements, and help our product and engineering teams refine the platform.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience managing interconnection applications or modification requests for energy developers, utilities, ISO/RTOs, or consulting firms.
• Strong understanding of ISO/RTO interconnection policies and application processes across multiple U.S. markets.
• Familiarity with documentation and technical inputs for generation and load applications.
• Strong project management, document review, and communication skills.
• Interest in working with AI tools and providing expert judgment to guide outputs.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team on a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Manage early-stage interconnection applications and modification requests from intake through package preparation and submission.
• Interpret ISO/RTO policies, procedures, application requirements, and filing deadlines.
• Review project information for missing documents, inconsistencies, and issues needing engineering input or client clarification.
• Review AI-generated application materials for completeness and alignment with requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, power engineers, and product teams to resolve items and keep filings on schedule.
• Track ISO/RTO changes and update checklists and workflow guidance.
• Maintain clear records of application status, decisions, deadlines, and follow-up actions.

Time Commitment: Approximately 10–20 hours per week, based on project needs

Compensation: US$200 per hour

The Role

GridPilot is seeking an experienced Interconnection Project Manager / Consultant to guide early-stage interconnection applications and modification requests across U.S. ISO/RTO markets.

This role combines hands‑on application management with expert oversight of AI-assisted workflows. The successful candidate will interpret applicable requirements, guide the preparation process, review AI-generated materials, and help our product and engineering teams improve the platform.

GridPilot’s power engineers support technical studies, modeling, and engineering deliverables. This role focuses on application requirements, project coordination, and quality review, working closely with those AI and Power engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage early-stage interconnection applications and modification requests, from initial intake through package preparation and authorized submission.
• Interpret applicable ISO/RTO policies, procedures, application requirements, and filing deadlines.
• Review project information and identify missing documents, inconsistencies, and issues requiring engineering input or customer clarification.
• Review AI-prepared application materials for completeness, consistency, and alignment with applicable requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, power engineers, and the product team to resolve outstanding items and keep filings on schedule.ial>
• Track relevant changes to ISO/RTO requirements and translate them into updated checklists and workflow guidance.
• Maintain clear records of application status, decisions, deadlines, and required follow-up actions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience managing interconnection applications or modification requests for an energy developer, utility, ISO/RTO, or consulting firm.
• Strong understanding of ISO/RTO interconnection policies and application processes, with experience across multiple U.S. markets preferred.
• Familiarity with the documentation and technical inputs required for generation and load applications.
• Strong project management, document review, and communication skills.
• Interest in working with AI tools and providing the expert judgment needed to guide and validate their outputs.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team on a flexible, project‑driven schedule.
