Job summary

Texas A&M University’s College of Performance, Visualization & Fine Arts seeks an Interactive Product Designer to join a collaborative research environment in College Station. You will design and develop interactive products, narrative systems, prototypes, and hardware/software integrations for interdisciplinary projects.

Ideal candidates have strong design and prototyping skills, experience with software development, and the ability to work with faculty and students.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops interactive products, narrative systems, and prototypes.
• Programs and integrates hardware and software components for interactive systems.
• Applies software and systems engineering principles to develop and refine prototypes.
• Troubleshoots and optimizes systems for functionality and performance.
• Meets with faculty, researchers, stakeholders to understand project requirements.
