Job Description

Interactive Credit Analyst – Remote, North American Bancard (NAB). This position is located in the United States and requires a Bachelor’s Degree. The role focuses on underwriting merchant applicants in the credit card payment processing industry and delivering a positive experience for sales partners and business owners.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and review new submissions, auto-approved submissions, and graduated underwriting submissions submitted by sales partners and merchants.
• Provide an additional layer of review and discretion to address accounts that are pended, declined, or withdrawn.
• Serve as a communication channel for sales partners and merchants, including phone support during business hours.
• Maintain activity in the phone queue to handle inbound and outbound calls with sales partners and merchants.
• Drive submissions volume from sales partners.
• Provide solution-focused reviews for high-risk, restricted, and prohibited merchant submissions.
• Analyze a wide variety of applicants and business types across multiple card processing environments.

What we need from you

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of commercial underwriting experience in banking or the payments industry.
• Ability to handle a position of authority and exercise accurate judgment in interactions with sales partners and merchants over the phone and via email.
• Ability to adapt priorities for peak periods and flexibility to work extended shifts to meet business needs.
• Ability to multi-task and manage relationships with applicants, internal staff, and external customers (agents, vendors, and key business partners).

How to stand out

• 2 years of payment processing experience highly preferred.
• 2 years of sales support experience or customer service highly preferred.
