Job summary

Salem Health Hospitals & Clinics seeks a Staff Physician in Pulmonary and Critical Care to deliver comprehensive ICU care and consultative services across the inpatient load. This is a fee-basis position paid by CPT codes per shift.

Qualifications

• Must have MD or equivalent in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the United States.
• Completed ACGME/AOA accredited residency leading to board eligibility.
• Completion of Critical Care Fellowship.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert consultation and treatment to ICU patients and coordinate with hospital teams.
• Perform critical care procedures including central lines and airway management.
• Admit, diagnose, and treat patients with critical illnesses in the ICU.
• Document clinical notes timely and accurately, including H&P, discharge summaries, and medication reconciliation.
• Collaborate with hospitalists, primary care, nursing, and subspecialists to optimize patient outcomes.
