Medicorp, Inc. seeks a Board Certified Intensivist to serve as Founding Critical Care Fellowship Program Director in Central Valley, CA. The role combines clinical ICU leadership with ACGME fellowship oversight, ensuring quality education and patient care.

The program targets a 2028 start, with 24-bed Main ICU and 8-bed Neurocritical ICU. Expect 10 ICU shifts per month plus director duties, with day shifts and possible nights. Competitive compensation, full benefits, and no visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Board-certified intensivist with leadership experience in an ACGME-accredited GME program.
• Experience as program or associate program director is highly desirable.
• Active involvement in graduate medical education and fellowship activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee the fellowship curriculum and evaluations.
• Recruit faculty and participate in accreditation processes.
• Lead fellowship recruitment and program quality improvements.
• Collaborate with Neurosurgical and Neurointervention teams for Neurocritical Care.

Intensivist-Program Director-Central Valley California

• Hospital system seeks a Board Certified Intensivist to serve as the Founding Critical Care Fellowship Program Director
• Combined annual comp expected to exceed $550,000 but has potential of $600,000+
• Minimum of 10 ICU shifts per month in addition to program director responsibilities
• Daytime with possible nighttime coverage
• Anticipated program to begin in 2028
• Physician retention is over 95%
• 24-bed Main ICU, 8-bed Neurocritical Care ICU
• Average of 12-15 patients per intensivist
• 2 Intensivist covering the ICU 7am-7ppm 1 Intensivist covering ICU 7pm-7am
• Intensivist functions as the primary attending physician in the Neurocritical ICU with support from Neurosurgical and Neurointervention (currently not a ECMO center)
• Procedures: Endotracheal intubation, Central Venous Catheter Placement, Ultrasound-guided vascular access, radial and Femoral arterial catheter placement, Therapeutic bronchoscopy, Thoracentesis, Paracentesis, Chest tube placement and POCUS
• Physician will work on curriculum development, faculty recruitment, establishing evaluations and feedback systems, participation of accreditation application process and review, fellowship recruitment etc.
• Ideal candidate will have experience as a program director or associate program director within an accredited GME program and involvement in Graduate medical education
