Job summary

Grafton Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional for Intensive Special Education at North Street Elementary School in Grafton, MA. The role provides behavioral and learning support, monitoring and instruction for students with varied needs, under the supervision of the school principal.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to utilize physical management and de-escalation techniques as trained.
• Must be able to assist students who may weigh 50 pounds or more.
• Collaborate with a team including paraprofessionals, teachers and specialists.
• Willingness to work across multiple buildings if needed.

Responsibilities

• Modify instructional materials to meet individual student IEPs.
• Support independence and routines for students.
• Assist small groups or individuals with instructional programs.
• Support during lunch, assemblies, recess and field trips.
• Implement behavioral plans with reinforcement and prompting.
