Northwest Regional Education Service District seeks a licensed Special Education Teacher to support students in a self-contained K-12 behavioral setting in Scappoose. The role focuses on individualized instruction, intensive behavior support, and therapeutic-informed practices within a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires SPED endorsement, experience with IEPs, and a strong commitment to equity. It is a temporary 1.0 FTE for the 26/27 school year, with compensation on the licensed

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field; master's preferred
• Oregon teaching license with Special Education endorsement or ability to obtain
• Experience with IEP development and implementation
• Experience with students who have behavior and emotional disorders
• Valid driver's license and transportation
• Bilingual/biliteracy preferred

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement IEPs for students with disabilities
• Adapt and modify curriculum for individual needs
• Provide direct instruction in multiple subjects with varied teaching methods
• Collaborate with general education and support staff
• Develop instructional programs addressing IEP goals
• Use behavioral and instructional strategies to help student progress
• Monitor student progress and adjust strategies
• Participate in progress staffing for identified students
• Conduct assessments and contribute to IEP goals
• Foster a positive, respectful classroom environment
• Communicate with parents/guardians regularly
• Attend professional development to stay current in best practices
• Perform other duties as assigned
