Intensive In-home Counselor QMHP-C Full-time

EMS of Virginia is seeking a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to provide Intensive In-home Services on a Full-time basis in the greater Richmond area, including Richmond, Henrico, Chesterfield, Petersburg, Hanover, and surrounding areas. You must be registered with the Department of Health Professions as a QMHP-C to qualify for this position. More information about the QMHP process can be found at: Virginia DHP QMHP Information.

EMS of Virginia has been serving the Tri-Cities area's mental health needs since 2005. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Conducting client sessions in community settings, including clients' homes
  • Providing individual mental health counseling focused on client goals
  • Working with family systems
  • Case management to meet clients' basic needs
  • Providing counseling to children and adolescents, both individual and family
  • Developing and completing individualized service plans
  • Preparing quarterly reports and progress notes
  • Assisting with service authorization documentation
  • Participating in supervision and team meetings
  • Maintaining ongoing communication with clinical supervisors
