Job summary

New River Valley Community Services in Radford, VA is seeking an Intensive Clinician for the New Horizons team to provide crisis stabilization, crisis intervention, and clinical services to individuals in residential crisis stabilization.

You will develop program and treatment protocols and work with a team to coordinate services among providers, helping clients live and function in the community. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or other licensed-eligible Human Services field is required.
• State of Virginia License is required in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
• If not fully licensed, must register and become license-eligible within three months of hire (if applicable).
• At least one year of clinical experience with mental illness, substance use disorders, developmental and/or intellectual disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis stabilization, crisis intervention, assessment and clinical services to clients in the residential crisis stabilization program.
• Assist in development of program and treatment protocols for the crisis stabilization program.
• Work with the team to coordinate services among providers to help individuals served live and function in the community.
