Job summary

Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU (Night Shift)

Shift: Night – 3x12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Start Date: July 13 (Strongly Preferred)

Position Overview

The ICU Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, patient-centered care in a General Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting. This role involves managing critically ill patients, monitoring vital signs, administering treatments, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

The ICU is a small, 5-bed unit, requiring nurses to be highly skilled, adaptable, and comfortable working in a close-knit environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver critical care nursing to ICU patients
• Monitor and assess:
• Vital signs
• Neurological status
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and life‑support interventions
• Respond to emergency situations and rapid changes in patient condition
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards

Required Qualifications

Certifications (Mandatory)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIHSS (Stroke Certification)

Preferred Certifications

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

Licensure

• Active RN license – must be in hand at submission
• Nursys verification required

Experience Requirements

• ICU experience required (specific years not stated but strong ICU background expected)
• Travel experience highly preferred

Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
