Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. in California is hiring an Intensive Behavioral Support Provider to work with children and/or adults with developmental delays and challenging behaviors.

The role includes one-to-one behavioral interventions and helping with daily activities. Responsibilities cover implementing Behavior Support Plans, data collection, crisis intervention, and assisting with personal care such as bathing, meals, grooming, and mobility as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous experience in an educational or healthcare setting preferred.
• At least one year of experience with individuals with special needs who display challenging or aggressive behaviors.
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral sciences or related field preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one-behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges.
• Provide/assist with daily program activities in self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior areas and crisis intervention.
• Assist client with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, meal preparation and feeding, dressing and undressing, ambulation and other activities as needed.
• Implement and collect data of the behaviors and goals outlined in the Behavior Support Plan.
