Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in California is hiring an Intensive Behavioral Support Provider to work with individuals with developmental delays and challenging behaviors. You will deliver structured, one-to-one behavioral interventions and track progress with data-driven methods.

You will collaborate with families and care teams, assist with daily activities, and support communication, self-care and social goals. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with special needs or educational/healthcare settings preferred.
• At least 1 year experience with individuals with challenging behaviors preferred.
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work or related fields preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one-behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges.
• Assist with daily program activities in self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior areas and crisis intervention.
• Assist with personal care activities including bathing, feeding, dressing, ambulation and other tasks as needed.
• Implement and collect data on behaviors and goals outlined in the Behavior Support Plan.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one-behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges
• Provides/assists with daily program activities in the areas of self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior and crisis intervention
• Assist client with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, preparation and feeding of meals, dressing and undressing, ambulation and other activities as needed
• Implement and collect data of the behaviors and goals outlined in the Behavior Support Plan

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous experience working in an educational or healthcare setting preferred
• At least one year of experience working with children/adults with special needs who display challenging or aggressive behaviors
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral sciences or related field preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
