TYLin City Solutions is seeking an Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)/Signal System Design Engineer to advance mobility through advanced traffic technologies. You’ll design, analyze, and implement ITS/ATMS solutions, develop design plans and documentation, and support planning efforts across projects in the DC metropolitan area.

You bring 5–10 years of ITS/ATMS and signal design experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and a willingness to travel.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 5-10 years of ITS/ATMS, signal design experience.
• PE license preferred.
• Familiarity with FHWA Systems Engineering processes.
• Willingness to travel for projects and client needs.
• Strong technical background in ITS/ATMS/signal planning, design, and systems engineering.
• Effective problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to build strong client and team relationships.
• Self-motivated and adaptable to evolving technologies and project needs.

Job Summary

TYLin City Solutions is looking for a dynamic Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)/Signal System Design Engineer to help shape the future of mobility. In this role, you’ll design and integrate cutting-edge transportation technologies that improve safety, optimize traffic operations, and connect communities. Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, you’ll apply your technical expertise to deliver innovative ITS/signal system solutions that make cities smarter, safer, and more efficient. This position can be based in the DC metropolitan area.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

What You’ll Do:

Additional Information

T.Y. Lin International is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $95,200-$142,800 annually for this position and local market.
