Job summary

E-Z Bel Construction, LLC is seeking an experienced field supervisor to lead on-site teams for traffic signals, ITS, and illumination projects in Texas. You will interpret complex plans, coordinate underground and overhead work, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence across multi-crews.

The role requires 7–10+ years in related construction, OSHA 30 preferred, and IMSA certifications where possible. Proficiency with HCSS, MS Office, and iPad field tools is essential.

Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years in traffic signal or related electrical/civil construction.
  • Superintendent or senior Foreman leadership experience.
  • Strong reading of plans, wiring diagrams, and project specs.
  • Knowledge of MUTCD/NEC standards and QA/QC practices.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret plans, specifications, MUTCD/NEC standards into executable tasks.
  • Verify layouts for poles, foundations, conduits, pull boxes, cabinets, and pedestrian equipment.
  • Drive QA/QC for foundations, conduit systems, wiring/grounding, and final acceptance.
  • Lead safety huddles and audits; enforce OSHA and site safety policies.
  • Coordinate inspections, energization, and coordination meetings with agencies and clients.

Questions You Might Be AskingWhat will I lead?You’ll command daily field operations for traffic signals, ITS, roadway lighting, pedestrian features, and all associated underground/overhead construction. From conduit and foundations to pole erection, cabling, cabinet installation, testing, and turn-on—you’re the on-site authority.How will I make it happen?Interpret plans, specifications, MUTCD/NEC standards, wiring diagrams, cabinet drawings, and traffic control plans into executable tasks.Verify layouts for poles, foundations, conduits, pull boxes, cabinets, detection, and pedestrian equipment with Survey and Project Management.Sequence utility locating, trenching/boring/drilling, conduit placement, foundation pours, pole setting, cabling, cabinet install, and activation.Solve field issues involving utilities, access, phasing, constructability, and installation tolerances within delegated authority.Drive QA/QC for foundations, conduit systems, wiring/grounding/terminations, cabinet placement, test readiness, punch-list closeout, and final acceptance.Define means and methods for complex/high-risk work: crane and bucket operations, high-mast or large sign installs, deep excavations, night shifts, and live-traffic phasing.Troubleshoot detection systems, MMUs/conflict monitors, controllers, communications, and field devices.Who will I lead?Foremen and multiple underground and/or overhead crews.
