Job summary

Castalia Systems is seeking an Intelligence Planner, Mid to support the government’s all‑source intelligence analysis of foreign WMD programs and related materials, technologies, and knowledge. Provides intelligence analysis support to the DoD and USG counter‑WMD efforts.

The role involves integrating defense and national intelligence capabilities into operational planning, developing campaign and crisis plans, and conducting feasibility assessments within planning cycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 3+ years of relevant experience (or 7 years without a Bachelor’s)
• Demonstrates mastery of qualitative and quantitative analytic methodologies.
• Demonstrates ability to define comprehensive, new, or unique research approaches that enable rigorous assessments.
• Demonstrates in‑depth analysis of analytic operations and knowledge management issues across organizational and intra‑IC boundaries.
• Demonstrates ability to work independently and with minimal oversight.
• Demonstrates ability to review analytic products for cogent arguments, tradecraft standards, and adequate support for conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Employs intelligence expertise to assist in the integration of Defense and National intelligence support capabilities into operational planning across the DoD.

Job Summary

Castalia Systems is seeking an Intelligence Planner, Mid to support the government’s all‑source intelligence analysis of foreign weapons of mass destruction (WMD) programs, including the proliferation and procurement of WMD‑applicable materials, technologies, and knowledge, and provides intelligence analysis support to the entire spectrum of DoD and USG counter‑WMD efforts.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Employs intelligence expertise and knowledge to assist in the integration of Defense and National intelligence support capabilities, including collection, analytic, and targeting activities, into overarching operational planning functions and efforts across the DoD.
• Mission areas for Intelligence Planner assistance include the development of campaign plans, deliberate planning, crisis management, and time‑sensitive planning in accordance with the Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES).
• Additionally, planners assist with red teaming and intelligence operations feasibility assessments within the planning process.

Required Qualifications

• Meets all qualifications and skills required of a Jr, plus:
• Bachelor’s degree in an area related to the labor category from an accredited college or university plus 3 or more years of relevant experience (or 7 years without a Bachelor’s)
• Demonstrates in‑depth knowledge and understanding of the labor category activities required to meet mission requirements.
• Demonstrates mastery of qualitative and quantitative analytic methodologies and pursues developments in academia or other fields that affect tradecraft methodology.
• Demonstrates ability to define comprehensive, new, or unique research approaches that enable rigorous assessments to address and contribute to high‑level tasks.
• Demonstrates in‑depth analysis of analytic operations and knowledge management issues across organizational and intra‑IC boundaries and clearly articulates key findings.
• Demonstrates ability to work independently and with minimal oversight.
• Demonstrates ability to review analytic products for cogent arguments, tradecraft standards, and adequate support for conclusions; routinely tests analytic rigor of analytic products.

Compensation

The projected compensation range for this position is $115,600.00 to $122,400.00 annualized USD.
