Job summary

The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office is seeking a Data Strategies Unit Supervisor to lead data analysis, investigations, and program evaluation in support of diversion and public safety initiatives. The role requires 5+ years of data, investigative, and supervisory experience.

The successful candidate will oversee a data team, identify data sources, develop office-wide data practices, and present findings to stakeholders, including law enforcement and partner agencies.

Qualifications

• Must possess a minimum of a Juris Doctor degree.
• Experience in criminal investigations, including digital data communication.
• Knowledge of current practices in data reporting, including data mapping and geocoding.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, privacy settings, digital forensics tools and methodologies, and digital communication protocols.

Responsibilities

• Oversight and supervision of team members
• Identify available and suitable data sources to support organizational objectives
• Supervise gathering and analysis of data using in-house and other organizational sources
• Work with the executive team to identify organizational data needs
• Develop office-wide best practices for data entry and collection
• Evaluate public safety strategies
• Work with other Unit Supervisors to identify data needs and/or evaluate programming or policies
• Present findings to law enforcement agencies and other relevant stakeholders
