Job Overview

An intelligence analyst in the United States Army plays a critical role in supporting military operations by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting information related to potential threats and adversaries. The analyst gathers intelligence from various sources such as satellite imagery, intercepted communications, human intelligence, and open-source information. By identifying patterns, assessing the enemy's capabilities, intentions, and vulnerabilities, the analyst provides actionable insights to commanders and decision‑makers.

Responsibilities
  • Collect intelligence from multiple sources (satellite imagery, communications, human, open-source).
  • Analyze data to identify patterns and assess enemy capabilities, intentions, and vulnerabilities.
  • Prepare detailed reports, briefings, and presentations to communicate findings to commanders and decision‑makers.
  • Collaborate with other intelligence agencies and military units to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the operational environment.
  • Provide timely and accurate intelligence to help anticipate and counter threats, ensuring mission success and the safety of military personnel.
