Koniag Services, Inc., a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Intelligence Analyst to support critical missing persons investigative operations in Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate is a motivated professional with a strong background in intelligence analysis, law enforcement operations, or investigative research, and is passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by missing persons cases.

Position Description

The Missing Persons Intelligence Analyst will provide analytical support to law enforcement and investigative teams working missing persons cases. The analyst will be responsible for gathering, synthesizing, and interpreting data from a wide variety of sources to assist in locating missing individuals and identifying patterns or trends related to missing persons incidents.

Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Collect, review, and analyze data from law enforcement databases, public records, social media platforms, and other open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools to support active missing persons investigations.
  • Develop and maintain detailed case files, analytical reports, and intelligence products to assist investigators and law enforcement partners.
  • Identify patterns, trends, and associations across multiple missing persons cases to support investigative leads and resource prioritization.
  • Collaborate with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, as well as non-governmental organizations, to share intelligence and coordinate investigative efforts.
  • Utilize geographic information systems (GIS) and mapping tools to analyze location-based data relevant to missing persons cases.
  • Monitor and analyze tips, leads, and incoming case information, ensuring timely dissemination to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare clear and concise written and verbal briefings, summaries, and analytical products for law enforcement personnel and agency leadership.
  • Support the development and maintenance of databases and tracking systems related to missing persons cases.
  • Assist in identifying connections between missing persons cases and potential criminal activity, including human trafficking, exploitation, or other offenses.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and agency policies regarding sensitive case information.
  • Participate in case review meetings, task force operations, and interagency coordination efforts as required.
  • Stay current on emerging analytical methodologies, tools, and best practices in the missing persons and law enforcement intelligence fields.
Education and Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Intelligence Studies, Forensic Science, Social Sciences, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • 3+ years of experience in intelligence analysis, law enforcement support, investigative research, or a closely related field.
  • Experience working with law enforcement databases such as NCIC, NIBRS, or similar systems.
  • Demonstrated experience producing written analytical products, reports, or intelligence summaries.
Required Skills and Competencies
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize large volumes of data from multiple sources into actionable intelligence.
  • Proficiency in open-source intelligence (OSINT) research methods and tools.
  • Experience with law enforcement records management systems and national missing persons databases.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English, with the ability to present complex analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with geographic information systems (GIS) and mapping software for location-based analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all analytical work products.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within interagency and cross-functional team environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive, confidential, and emotionally difficult case material with professionalism and discretion.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a required security or public trust clearance.
Desired Skills and Competencies
  • Experience working within a federal, state, or local law enforcement intelligence environment.
  • Familiarity with human trafficking indicators, victim identification methodologies, and related investigative frameworks.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Palantir, i2 Analyst's Notebook, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) resources and reporting protocols.
  • Certified Law Enforcement Analyst (CLEA) or similar professional intelligence certification.
  • Experience supporting task force operations or multi-agency investigative teams.
  • Familiarity with social media monitoring and digital forensics as they relate to missing persons investigations.
  • Working knowledge of trauma-informed approaches when interfacing with families of missing individuals.
