Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is an established national law firm seeking an Intellectual Property Senior Counsel in Minnesota. The role requires a minimum of eight years of IP experience and a degree in a technical field such as computer software or engineering.

An active bar license in the state, or a plan to obtain one, is expected. The position offers opportunities to work with our Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation team, including the potential for flexible billable hours.

Qualifications

• Active bar license corresponding to the resident state, or commitment to obtain one as soon as possible.
• Eight or more years of experience in Intellectual Property, preferably in a corporate or law firm setting.
• Degree in Computer Software, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Work primarily with attorneys in the Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation business unit.
• Articulate legal strategies and courses of action clearly and persuasively.
• Manage multiple projects with strong judgment and prioritization.
• Possibly flexible billable-hour requirements.

We have an immediate opening for an Intellectual Property Senior Counsel with a minimum of eight years of experience preferred. We will consider candidates for any of our offices including our virtual office, The Link. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Computer Software, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field of study.

Candidates should have an active bar license corresponding to the state in which they reside, or commit to obtaining one as soon as possible. The candidate will work primarily with attorneys in our Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation business unit. This position will have the possibility of a flexible billable-hour requirement.

The candidate should demonstrate exceptional judgment, the ability to effectively handle multiple projects, and the ability to articulate legal strategies and courses of action. Pursuant to applicable state laws, the compensation range for this position in California, Colorado, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington, and Washington, D.C. is $190,000 to $240,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salaries in all other markets will vary depending on market data.
