Company Overview

Steptoe LLP seeks a Patent Agent to join the Intellectual Property ("IP") group in our New York office.

Responsibilities

1. Preparing and prosecuting patent applications.
2. Performing patent landscape and freedom-to-operate analyses.
3. Conducting IP due diligence.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or related fields.
• Strong background in computer science/software.
• Two or more years of experience preferred.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Registration with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office or ability to become registered.

Candidate Skills

Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills. Ability to assume immediate responsibility and work collaboratively within a high-performing team.

Compensation and Benefits
