Position Overview

Faegre Drinker is seeking a Patent Agent to join our Intellectual Property group in Chicago. This role involves all aspects of patent preparation and prosecution.

Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or related fields.
  2. At least two years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in related technologies.
  3. Experience with AI and machine learning patents is preferred.
  4. Admission to practice before the USPTO is required.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay range: $120,000 - $180,000 annually, depending on experience and location. The total compensation package includes bonuses, insurance, 401(k), and other benefits.

Applicants should include a cover letter, resume, writing sample, and academic transcripts with their application. The firm plans for a hybrid work model, with 2-3 days in-office in Chicago.
