Intellectual Property Litigation Associate – (CHI, NY, DC)

Steptoe LLP is seeking an associate with 2 to 4 years of experience in patent and/or trade secret litigation to join its IP practice group in Chicago, New York, or Washington, D.C.

Required qualifications include admission to the DC, Illinois, or New York Bar, and an undergraduate degree in engineering, physics, computer science, or a related field. USPTO practice registration is strongly preferred. Additional qualifications such as an advanced scientific degree, industry experience, and programming skills are advantageous.

Ideal candidates will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, technical analysis experience, and persuasive writing abilities. We seek individuals ready to assume immediate responsibility and work on high-stakes cases within a collaborative team environment.

The salary range is approximately $235,000 to $310,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
