Job summary

Keystone Human Services is currently seeking a full-time Program Specialist to join our team of professionals in making a positive difference in the lives of our neighbors and the community.

The Program Specialist provides leadership and support to employees and individuals served within assigned programs throughout Cumberland County, including coordination and development of assessments and Individual Support Plans and education/skill development for individuals and the support team.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree plus hands-on experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism, or a master’s degree with related experience.
• Licensure or credential in behavior specialist field is acceptable.
• Strong communication and reading comprehension are essential; comfortable with basic computer tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support to employees and individuals served within assigned programs in Cumberland County.
• Coordinate, develop, and implement individual assessments, Individual Support Plans, and education/skill development for individuals and the support team.

Minimum Educational Requirements

• One of the following
• Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years’ experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities or autism
• Master’s degree or higher and one (1) year experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities or autism
• Pennsylvania Behavior Specialist License

Additional Minimum Requirements

• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing and to be able to read, interpret and apply written information
• Intermediate computer skills, ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and learn web-based systems
• Valid driver’s license and access to properly insured vehicle
• Successful completion of pre-employment process, including Criminal History, MVR, Child Abuse and FBI clearances
• Supervisory experience is preferred
