Connections in Ohio, Inc. is a growing, 25-year-old company that provides community supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community settings. We are seeking an energetic and passionate Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities Team Leader! This position oversees the training, staffing, and operation of one to three sites, and builds a team of direct support professionals to provide exceptional services.

The starting wage for this full-time position is $22.50 per hour. Our Team Leader in Training position starts at $21.50 per hour. We offer generous paid leave, paid health benefits, and a 401(k) with great matching! We provide a high-energy work environment with a stable and successful team. This position has a varied schedule and will require working nights and weekends.

Job Duties:
  1. Building a well-functioning team of direct support professionals to ensure high-quality services.
  2. 24/7 on-call responsibilities for one to three homes, with an every-other-weekend on-call rotation (6 days per month off call).
  3. Ensuring all operational needs are met, including staffing, payroll, and financial management of each home.
  4. Providing direct support to the individuals we serve.
  5. Providing training to direct support professionals on each individual’s support plans and ensuring these plans are followed.
  6. Overseeing employee training, staffing, and certifications according to the company’s policies and procedures.
  7. Addressing policy, procedure, and disciplinary questions effectively, and ensuring timely completion of performance evaluations.

Job Requirements:
  • 21+ years of age
  • Having a working vehicle used for transportation during work hours
  • Valid auto insurance (not an FR or SR22 Bond) for that vehicle
  • A valid Ohio Driver’s License with 4 points or less on your BMV record
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass background checks as per industry requirements
