Job summary

Intel is seeking a College Grad IMO module Engineer in Hillsboro, Oregon, to contribute to photolithography mask production within the Logic Technology Development team. The role involves on-site work solving advanced manufacturing problems, with responsibilities spanning equipment installation, maintenance, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate will have an MS-related background (Physics/Materials/Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/ Chemistry) and hands-on

Qualifications

  • MS degree in Physics, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Chemistry.
  • 3+ months of experience with scientific equipment or semiconductor process experience.

Responsibilities

  • Process equipment installation and development.
  • Equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, monitoring of process performance, defect analysis and reduction.
  • Drives improvements on quality, reliability, cost, yield, process stability/capability, productivity, and safety/ergonomics.
  • Works with cross functional teams to solve technical process and defect issues.
  • Plans and conducts experiments to characterize the process throughout development.
  • Establishes control systems to optimize and sustain production performance.
  • Develops strategies to resolve difficult problems and establish systems to manage them in the future.

Job Description:

This position is in the Intel Mask Operations within the Logic Technology Development team working in one of the most advanced semiconductor process technologies in the world.

In this position the engineer will be an integral contributor to the ongoing production of photolithography masks for Intel's leading‑edge silicon manufacturing solutions. In this position, you will work on-site, in a dynamic and collaborative environment solving complex and challenging technical problems on sophisticated manufacturing processes and equipment.

As IMO module Engineer the responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Process equipment installation and development.
  • Equipment maintenance, management of troubleshooting activities, regular monitoring of process performance, defect analysis and reduction.
  • Drives improvements on quality, reliability, cost, yield, process stability/capability, productivity, and safety/ergonomics.
  • Working with cross functional teams to solve technical process and defect issues.
  • Plans and conducts experiments to fully characterize the process throughout the development cycle.
  • Establishes control systems to optimize and sustain production performance.
  • Develops strategies to resolve difficult problems and establishes systems to manage these problems in the future.

  • Experience with rapid analysis of complex process issues and identification of a solution path
  • Willing to work Independently with minimal direction, to be self-directing and show initiative
  • Communication skills and demonstrated ability to summarize complex data sets for technical and nontechnical audiences.
Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications
  • MS degree in one of these fields: Physics, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Chemistry.
  • 3+ months of experience with scientific equipment or semiconductor process experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of photomask manufacturing and process technology.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of design of experiments, process control methodology, data analysis skills in data analysis tools such as JMP, SQL, etc.
  • Cleanroom experience
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC) or Design of Experiments (DOE) principles and engineering analysis tools.

Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $99,030.00 - 139,810.00 USD
