Job summary

UC Davis VMTH is seeking a Small Animal Integrative Medicine Technician to provide paraveterinary technical, nursing, and administrative support. The role supports the Integrative Medicine service, develops efficient workflows, and assists with outpatient and drop-off appointments, patient care, and client communication.

Responsibilities include implementing prescribed IM and rehab treatment plans, coordinating with VMTH services, and supporting clinical trials and student instruction.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP) or obtain within 3 months of date of hire.
• Experience working in a small animal veterinary hospital as a veterinary technician.
• Experience obtaining a variety of biological samples.
• Experience restraining and safely handling all types of small and large domestic animals including fractious animals.
• Strong communication skills, professional demeanor, and ability to work with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• 75% - Technical Support responsibilities within integrative medicine service.
• 25% - Administrative support duties and coordination.
• On-site patient care, client communication, and documentation in medical records.
