Job summary

Family Health Centers of San Diego seeks a physician leader in integrative medicine to develop and deliver whole-person care plans. The role emphasizes lifestyle medicine, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and evidence-informed treatment approaches.

Candidates should hold an MD or DO with an active California license, board certification in Family or Internal Medicine, and a fellowship in Integrative Medicine is preferred.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with an active California medical license.
• Board-certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related primary care specialty.
• Fellowship training in Integrative Medicine preferred.
• Experience or strong interest in lifestyle medicine, obesity medicine, or whole-person care models.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team-based, multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care with a whole-person approach.
• Develop individualized care plans incorporating lifestyle medicine and behavioral health.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions with a focus on prevention and long-term outcomes.
• Educate patients on nutrition, physical activity, stress management and behavior change.
• Utilize evidence-informed integrative approaches alongside conventional treatments.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the EHR.
• Participate in care-model development and continuous improvement of integrative services.
