If so, Holtorf Medical Group may be the practice you have been looking for. We are seeking a compassionate, independent MD or DO with integrative or functional medicine experience, ideally licensed in multiple states, to provide telemedicine care and help patients who have run out of places to turn.
About Holtorf Medical Group
Holtorf Medical Group is a nationally recognized, cash-based integrative and functional medicine practice led by Medical Director Dr. Kent Holtorf, a globally recognized expert who has trained hundreds of physicians in the art and science of integrative medicine.
We are known for solving complex, chronic cases, including thyroid and hormone disorders, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, Lyme and other chronic infections, and autoimmune conditions. Many of our patients arrive after seeing numerous other physicians without improvement. Our multidisciplinary practice combines the best of conventional medicine with evidence-based integrative care to find the root cause, restore function, and support long-term wellness.
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
- Exceptional earning potential. Start with comfortable compensation while your schedule builds, then ramp up. Our current physicians earn $510,000 to $790,000 a year working just 17 to 20 hours per week, income most physicians would need a full 40-hour week to reach.
- Practice from anywhere. This is a fully remote telemedicine role. No commute, and you work from your own home or office.
- No call, no weekends. A sustainable schedule that leaves room for the rest of your life.
- Time to practice real medicine. Without insurance driving the schedule, you get unhurried visits and the freedom to order the testing and build the treatment plan your patient actually needs.
- Clinical independence. You make the clinical decisions. HMG provides the patients, the systems, and a collaborative clinical community.
- Learn from a leader in the field. Collaborate with Dr. Kent Holtorf, an internationally recognized authority in integrative and functional medicine who has personally trained hundreds of physicians.
- Put your integrative training to full use. Prescribe and manage advanced thyroid and hormone optimization protocols, and coordinate in-clinic therapies such as HBOT, EBOO/ozone, and IV nutrient therapy at HMG's El Segundo center.
- A field at an inflection point. Functional medicine's flagship 2026 conference drew a record turnout of clinicians from all 50 states and 40 countries, and IFM recently launched board-level certification pathways (FMCP and FMCP-M). You will be building expertise in one of the fastest-growing areas of medicine.
- High-tech, high-touch. Modern tools, including [Cerbo EHR and AI-assisted scribing, confirm], take care of the busywork so you can focus on the patient in front of you.
Scope of Services
- Conduct comprehensive, whole-person telemedicine evaluations, including detailed history, review of records, and advanced diagnostic testing, to uncover the root causes of chronic and complex illness.
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans that combine conventional medicine with evidence-based integrative therapies.
- Provide ongoing care for patients with thyroid and hormone imbalances, chronic fatigue, autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, chronic infections, and metabolic dysfunction.
- Deliver preventive care, health maintenance, and lifestyle guidance that supports long-term wellness.
- Create an exceptional patient experience, making every person feel heard and cared for, whether by video, phone, or secure messaging.
- Handle follow-up for your patients, including calls, prescription refills, letters of medical necessity, and correspondence.
- Collaborate with HMG's clinical team on complex cases, treatment strategies, and the patient experience.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and comply with all applicable state and federal regulations.
Who You Are
You are a compassionate, detail-oriented physician with hands-on experience in integrative or functional medicine, and you put patients first. You are energized by complex cases and the puzzle of figuring out what everyone else missed. You communicate with warmth and clarity, take initiative, and are comfortable practicing independently. You are comfortable building strong patient relationships over video, and you see every day as a chance to learn something new.
